All Festivals, Great & Small: Escape Music Festival

This epic, two-day, twenty-hour music fest is New York’s pride and joy. Located on Governor’s Beach Club in Governor’s island, Escape offers a unique experience as artists from indie, rock, pop, and electronic genres all come together on two massive stages with the Manhattan skyline as a backdrop.

What sets this festival apart from the status quo is the event’s founder, Merritt Quirk. With one mission in mind, he makes it a priority to create invaluable experiences and lifelong memories for the party-goers at an affordable ticket price. Quirk definitely succeeds in this, as he notes that his inspiration, drawn from places like Buenos Aires, Barcelona, and Ibiza, made him steer towards creating an experience that focuses on the user. With part of the ticket sales being donated to local non-profits, you can feel even better about attending New York’s fastest growing music fest.

Escape Music Festival offers the full prestigious music and entertainment experience with lounges, art installations, food vendors, and world-class audio-visual productions. The mid-October affair offers new meaning to the expression “never a dull moment.” The event offers performances from legends and rookies alike, and they do it with immeasurable taste and style, too. With performances from headliners Moby, inventive DJ and remixer Girl Talk, as well as talented artists such as English techno DJ Alan Fitzpatrick, French electroclash DJ Miss Kittin, and French house producer Sebastian Leger, the lineup is sure to bring something to the table for any and all dance music lovers.

EDM Tunes raves of the event, saying the following of their experience: ”it was a proper, old school party, with amazing dance, techno, house and ridiculous live sets. If you weren’t there last weekend, you missed something special.” Join the Escape and have the most memorable festival experience this Fall. You’ll be glad you did.
