Tomorrowland is always an exuberant event filled with the best and brightest in the EDM scene, but this Saturday, July 25th, it’s about to get even better. During what we’re sure will be a stellar set, trance master Armin van Buuren will be premiering his new collaboration with living EDM legend, Jean-Michel Jarre.
Set to be one of the standout tracks on Jarre’s upcoming release, van Buuren and the French pioneer have combined their distinct talents to compose “Stardust”, a track some fans are already claiming will be the song of the year. As Jarre stated earlier this year, “Trance music is one of the biggest movements and draws in electronic music. Armin van Buuren has always stayed faithful to that style and he’s one of the most respected figures of that genre. Trance music had to be included in this journey for me.”
Described by Jarre as “a mixture of space meeting Burning Man” in his and van Buuren’s YouTube back story, the highly anticipated track is almost guaranteed to be exquisitely innovative and wonderfully dynamic. It’s almost impossible to fail when one of the fathers of EDM pairs up with one of today’s bright young stars, and we’ll be counting down the minutes until we finally get to hear “Stardust” in full. For those of us who won’t be seeing van Buuren live at Tomorrowland, the festival will be streaming the Dutchman’s set from the legendary Main Stage on tomorrowland.com.
