Meet SYDESHOW

What first drew you into music?

I started Djing with a friend in highschool and his uncle introduced me to ableton. I was instantly obsessed and went from there to Icon Collective where I really started producing.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

Recently messing around in Serum has helped me evolve as far as sound design goes. Going to festivals regularly always puts me in a fresh perspective as well and really shows me what is capable as far as creativity goes.

It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

I was told that it just takes time and consistent effort. Ive tried many times to force a certain sound and it never worked for me, but just by producing almost daily for the last seven years ive finally started finding what sounds like me.

Your track “Section” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Festival trap has always been one of my favorite genres and was what I first attempted to make when I started producing. I wanted to give it another shot now that I know more and was really happy with how it turned out. My creative process is really pretty simple I kinda just sit at my computer and mess around on the keyboard until I find a chord progression or a melody I like and go from there. Also waking up early in the morning helps a lot.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My goal has always been the same which is to just be able to live off of my music. I really don’t care to what capacity, but to be able to have my only concerns be music related sounds amazing.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

I try and release at least one song a month but aside from that keep an eye on Soundcloud!
