What first drew you into music?

What drew me into music, was a good friend of mine by the name of Phvrvoh. Wherever we went he was singing dancing or raping, and eventually I guess it just rubbed off on me because we were always somewhere doing something creative. Along with my cousin and creative director Cortez Mcclain & Kuyler Gresham mentoring, creating, and teaching through these last 4 years, without these two there would have been no SWNKY! And lastly, I feel like when I’m making music I’m not here, I’m somewhere far away on my own planet. Its my escape!

Your track “Careless” is absolutely amazing! How did you achieve such a great signature sound in such a short time? Also, what is your creative process like?

Thank You, the record Care less was driven by pure emotion and just ended up becoming a very good record!  Me achieving the sound I have in just 4 years, goes back to all the nights my cousin Tez would  allow me to record at the home studio and play with different sounds, along with recording and creating on a regular basis as a unit.  I don’t really have a creative process, I let my emotions, what I’ve been through, and what I’ve seen do all the writing for me. so far so good!

Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?

I would not say I’m experimenting with different sounds, I’m truly just being myself! I’ve never aimed to be in a specific genre. My goal is to let everyone who thinks they are alone, know that through my music I get it, and I’ve been there before too, you can get through it, because I have. Back home in Atlanta I would record at my home studio along with at a regular studio when I wanted to switch up the vibe. Out here in Seattle I record at a studio with my engineer and that’s pretty much it. Growing up I Played the piano and drums, but it didn’t last long because I don’t know how to read music lol and far as plugins go i don’t really have a favorite if it feels right then I’ll just use it. Music for me is all about the feeling.

Your music sounds very organic and authentic. Do you play any real-life instruments?

I do not play any live instruments at this point in my life. focused solely on my music and perfecting my sound!

What are your musical goals for the future?

My musical goals for the future are to have my own label which I recently just acquired By the name of Surf the World Entertainment LLC. Where I have already obtained my first artist “Stevie Montanna” where I hope to in the near future go on a tour, not only with my artist but with some of my brothers who are extremely talented as well. Like ItsJustG, FMG, Pounds and many more from the collective 2405. All while currently dropping bops in the meantime lol.

What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

My goal for the upcoming months is to drop more content and continue to perfect every aspect of my my Album!  My album is set to release early 2020.  Single dropping soon!
