What first drew you into music production?
Growing up with a Dad who always had classic rock playing, I became super interested in music when I was little. Then after moving to Miami, I got really into the electronic music scene and decided to download Logic Pro X on my computer this past July.
You are one of the best up and coming producers we have encountered on the internet! And your latest single “Alive” is probably your best track yet! Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, how did you manage to implement such a realistic sounding guitar? Did you record it?
Wow! thanks so much! This track is sort of like my take on a Martin Garrix style melodic festival song. I wanted to have a catchy vocal melody but also get people upbeat and excited with a big drop. So the guitar is actually a sample, I want to be able to play guitar on my tracks but I’m still working out of my bedroom and don’t have any audio recording equipment yet lol.
Your other track “Following the wave” is another great example of how capable you are as a producer! The mixing is on point and the melodies/ideas are out of this world! Could you tell us more about your studio setup and some of the plugins used to create this track?
Yeah, so, for now, I do everything out of my computer with a MIDI keyboard. Logic Pro X as my DAW. Then on this track, I’m pretty sure I only used the logic plugins and some tracks with serum (which is an amazing plugin btw) for more important melodies.
Your signature sound reminds us of the sound of some of the greatest EDM producers in the world (Two friends, Kygo, Matoma etc). How did you manage to achieve such a professional sound in such a short time? Can you tell us more about your musical background?
Thank you! I grew up playing guitar piano and a little drums and bass so I’ve always been really interested in writing music. Logic Pro gave me the chance to finally start making my own songs without the need for a professional studio or engineers which is awesome.
You have started putting up music on Soundcloud three months ago and you are already getting thousands of views! How does it feel to receive such a warm welcome from the community?
It’s crazy! I started out making music just for myself then decided it couldn’t hurt to post on SoundCloud and the progression since has been really cool.
What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
In the next few months, I really wanna clean up my production to sound more pro, and also try to find some gigs to perform. I’ll definitely be releasing new projects about every month so keep an eye out!
