What first drew you into music?

Although my parents have always told me I’ve been drawn to music since I was a baby, I think my father had a lot to do with that. He’s a musician and for as long as I can remember he would play the guitar for me, take me to piano lessons/teach me guitar, and we’d always sing songs together. He always encouraged me to master my craft and that eventually led to my pursuit of music.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

I love ALL types of music, and all genres. Growing up, my biggest struggle was figuring out “my sound” or what genre I could fit into or use to label myself. I just realized over the years that I shouldn’t have to put myself in this box where I’m limited to a specific sound or type of music. It’s pretty evident in my music that I have many influences but I like to incorporate the “catchyness” of Pop music but also bringing in some Soul and R&B vocals in the picture because I feel it allows the emotion to really shine through. I guess never really being able to fit into a category is what really led me to experiment to find a unique sound that works for me.

😊

It seems like you already found your signature sound  Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

YES! I’d just say try a little bit of everything. See what you enjoy more or sound your best doing and PLEASE do not try to fit yourself into one specific genre if you know you’re capable of being more open with your music! If you’re a songwriter too, see what types of music your writing flows naturally with and just see where your strengths are and work from there to create a sound true to you!

Your track “Dream Come True” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Mannnn thank you SO much! 🤍 No matter how many times people compliment my craft, it’s always so humbling. The story behind “Dream Come True” is pretty funny. I was listening to Ariana Grandes “Sweetener” album the night it was released and I loved the “Pete Davidson” track so much I told myself I wanted to write a song like that. I had just started officially dating my boyfriend at the time and I really felt like I was “falling” for this guy so I was scoping through different beats online and just started messing around with one that I liked and I really poured out my feelings on that one! I feel like “falling in love” doesn’t always have to be so deep, but is often childish because you get the butterflies, you get nervous or super excited when they’re around and it’s a funny kind of feeling! If anyone has heard the “Pete Davidson” track by Ariana, you can see the bridge of Dream Come True was heavily inspired by her song!

My creative process is really simple, I just find a beat that I really like or take an instrument such as either the guitar or piano and the words just come to me. I definitely always write based on personal experiences. Songwriting has always been a refuge for me and a way that I cope with my feelings as well as really understand them. Even as a kid, I would run to my room and write a song about how whatever I felt.

What are your musical goals for the future?

Well, I share my music because I want to reach people. Music is powerful and it always makes you feel something. I want to make people feel good about themselves and okay with how they might be feeling or with the season they might be in. If I could eventually solely just make a living out of doing what I love, then that would definitely be the ultimate goal.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

Well I actually just released two songs at the end of February this year! They’re titled “Can’t do this” which resembles an early 2000’s R&B sound, and then “ily” featuring Julian Gamez which is about all of our feelings when we found out we were expecting our daughter. You can find those on every music platform but I’m definitely working on more upcoming projects and performances! I even have a few music videos that we will start filming this year, it’s going to be awesome!
