What first drew you into music?
That’s definitely a hard question, subconsciously I was always around it. My father was into many different kinds of music and exposed me to everything he could. He was rapping and performing for a church we went to and I can still remember watching him at the local park. So for me personally I feel as music has always been a part of my soul for a very long time.
Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?
It comes natural for me and my personal journey in this thing called life I make what my soul wants me to make and sometimes I’m surprised by what comes out. On the subject of evolving I grow spiritually and mentally everyday and my music timeline allot time reflects that like many amazing artists before me. You never wanna be stagnant water, move around the rocks and pebbles find yourself and grow like a rose in the summer.
It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?
I’m still learning everyday far from perfect but I would tell them never give up and it will come to you don’t try to force it just be in flow and it will click one day. I also would never feel boxed in by it either. Never be scared to switch it up people can only box you in if you allow them into your mind rent free.
Your track “The Universe” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?
So The Universe was basically me setting a theme and seed in your mind for future things to come and that you don’t gotta look up to find something it’s all inside you. My creative process changes way too much to have a set routine like your alarm. I write certain music to the sun and I write certain music to the moon that is all you need to know.
What are your musical goals for the future?
My musical goals are to be played into the youths ear and look out for them when they don’t even understand it. I definitely see myself starting my own label as well and putting more spotlight on Indiana for music. We have a lot of talent that just gets overlooked.
What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
I AM is my current mixtape being worked on. I hope to give my supporters this project very soon
