The best way to answer you, is to tell you
a little about myself.
I am 32 years old, married and have two girls of 3 and 8 years. I work as the chief engineer and I live in the small town in South Ural, near where a meteorite fell in 2013. In my childhood I was fond of music, but just as a hobby.
I cannot say who I was a fan of, I like
different music. But I can point out the following musicians such as Avicii,
Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Linkin Park, Rammstein, Eminem,
Limp Bizkit. In 2018 I was fond of reading motivational books and search of meaning
in this life. I read in all books that it is never too late to follow your
dreams. And as I was walking on the
beach with my family, I understood that my heart was in music. And after that I
decided by all means to learn to do music.
And so my training began. If you look at my
profile on Soundcloud it is visible that I laid out my first track 4 months
ago. I.e. I began to write music 4 months ago. And I believe I have made
amazing progress. Before there was half of year of training. Now I continue to
study further, but already together with practice I have enough material to
last until I am an old man.
“iNichi” is a very unique producer name, how did you choose that name? Any special meaning behind it?
There is no meaning behind it. Just my name
is Ivan Nichizhenov, but it is too difficult even for the Russian-speaking
population, so I reduced it to iNichi. Also it is similar with one of my favorite
producers of Avicii. It’s kind of in his memory that I continue in this
business.
Going over your SoundCloud we can tell you love making lots of different genres! Which genre is your favorite to produce?
I cannot choose my favorite genre, I like
different music. Perhaps for me it is often possible to hear mixes of several
genres. I do not love a conformity or framework, especially in music.
Your latest track “Electro Funk” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?
Developing it, I sat on Splice and looked for a vocal for the new track, but I wanted something not usual and came across this vocal. And I in the head had at once an atmosphere of this track, the atmosphere of old wooden bar in which girls dance and sing. It was further work to pick up a melody and sounds which will transfer this atmosphere because I thought it was possible.
I begin a track differently. Sometimes I cover with a melody and from it I build a track; sometimes at first I look for vocals; and sometimes the track comes together naturally without vocal. But I come unintentionally across a vocal and it fits into the track, so happened to the track “Escape”.
What are your musical goals for the future?
I have only have two goals – It is to write
music that is keeps getting better over time. Well and of course to study, to
learn and to study once again. Growth.
What are your goals for the summer? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
In the summer I have 3 more tracks, and on September 6 there is my most favorite track, Let it Go, it is very original and I have high hopes for it.
