What first drew you into music?

Feels like it’s always been there, my parents always listened to a lot of  music at home, all from pop/rap to rock/metal so I guess that’s where it all sort of started, something with the sound of blasting distortion and noise got me hooked forever. I started to play drums around 12 years old and later began to write songs around 16 years old which progressed into making beats and slowly started to record myself and now here we are.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

My point when I started Voided was to never fit inside one box, but merging all of the boxes and create different atmosphere’s for each song. I just want to express all of my feelings and sticking to one genre can easily exlude feelings that can be hard to capture with a specific sound. I just think genres are a waste of time by this point and I never want you to know what to expect from me.

It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

From my standpoint I really haven’t, like i’m constantly trying to find my own sound but you’re always evolving as a person and so does my taste in music. I think in the end it all comes down to being yourself and by expressing yourself you will start to know what things fits your style and what does not, it’s an never ending process of constant evolvement and it’s very fulfilling so just go with your own flow. Listen to good and honest critics from people even though it can be hurtful it’s worth it if you really want to improve yourself and grow as an artist.

Your track “Drought” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Thank you that’s so sick to hear! Drought was one of those songs you just kind of puke out in one day and then it’s there all of the sudden.  This song comes from a very nihilistic side of me where everything feels pointless so I might just destroy myself, and have fun while doing it. The lyrics stayed on the shelf for a while until I bought 3 beats from this Swedish producer called Greener that I found out about through his own project Maxi, the other two beats being for my other songs “Love Me Like” and “Heartbreak Lullabies” released earlier this year. I recorded “Drought” inside an apartment building on the 9th floor being my home all inside my room on FL studio 12, I tried to mix all the vocals myself but later on ended up working with my friend Donnie Castle on it together to finish it up and get the result we hear today.

What are your musical goals for the future?

I think implementing some real instruments and some more crazy ideas to create a more authentic sound of my own. But most importantly making myself heard and getting my message out for anyone who’s out there and wants to grasp it. I want to be a hubworld for anyone who feels lost, misunderstood, alone, numb, sad, like a freak or the blackest of sheep, because so do I.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

Just shot a video for “Drought” and i’m very exited to release it so stay tuned for that! Also working on a project for 2020, I mean I got a bunch of songs in the works behind my curtains.
