A Multi-Genre EDM Producer, Meet Scafetta

What first drew you into music?

Music has been a huge part of my life since I was a child. I started playing drums when I was a teenager and eventually started making electronic music. I experimented with many genres just to see what was possible to make. I don’t think music will ever leave my life at this point.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

Thank you! What inspires me daily to experiment and evolve is to me just human nature. I’ve never liked to stay stationary doing the same thing over and over again, so this is where the experimental phase comes in.  I’m all about new things, and with music changing every single day, we need to be ready to face new challenges. I get a lot of inspiration from a lot of the “NeverSayDie” Artists.

It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

For me, Id say spend a lot of time working on new ideas until one of them just sticks. I’ve spent lots of time making all styles of tracks, to see which style appeals to me the most. As a top, experiment with what works best for you and make it your own unique sound. Trial and Error helps a lot with this process.

Your track “My Type” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

For this track in particular, I loved the vocals and originally made this track a trap song, but than I spent a bit more time on it and found this unique idea, and just went with it. This song stuck out to me for two reasons. The melody was very similar to a song I loved years ago called “ “Freak A Leek” and I figured I could maybe do something with the new style. Once I dropped it into the clubs, I knew it was ready. My creative process starts with me opening (able ton) and putting my phone down for no distractions. I than choose a bpm to work with, and start with either drum pattern, or a melody to get an idea going. From there, the ideas just keep following, and a few hours later, I have a song, or at least a general idea of what I’m going for.

What are your musical goals for the future?

My musical goals for the future are to still learn more about production, but also start touring. I’ve played direct support for many big artists out in Buffalo, Philly, Toronto, but id love to keep traveling to new cities and show everyone all the new music I’ve been making. I have 2 out of state headlining shows coming soon though that I’m very excited about.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

In the next few months, I will be focusing on releasing my E.P to “Badkill Records”, as well as dropping a single on “Rough Records” and “Prime Audio”. I will also have my 2 Back to Back Headlining shows coming as well, and have a few big collaborations that I am finishing up. Also I will be continuing working with the highly successful “SE2 Silent Disco” Company out in Buffalo, NY.
