What first drew you into music?
I always loved music even as a kid but it was around the time I was 13 and my father showed me music software. I was so fascinated by it I remember staying up all night and playing with it.
Your track “Not The Same” is absolutely amazing! How did you achieve such a great signature sound in such a short time? Also, what is your creative process like?
Trail and error. I’ll usually start off by making a beat and then coming back the next day either loving or hating it. My main focus has always been trying to create a sound that is unique to me so that I’m not sounding like another artist out there.
I’ll begin by making a beat and starting with the melody and if I like it I will build on top of it until I feel like it has been completed. Once I’m done with that I’ll start writing to it and recording different ideas I have for the song. Once I feel like everything has come together I will release it for everyone.
Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?
Yes, I do! My go-tos are Serum and Sylenth1 I love the different options I have with them and use them on my songs all the time.
Your music sounds very organic and authentic. Do you play any real-life instruments?
Yes, the piano I try to capture the emotion that you can get from that and incorporate that into my music.
What are your musical goals for the future?
I want to play more live shows and tour. I love playing live so I want to do more of that here in the near future.
What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
Yes! I’m working on my first full length album which “Not the Same” is the first single off of it. I’m excited about this because I’m broadening my sound a little more and I love the way it is coming out. I’m hoping to have it out towards the beginning of the year.
