I love art of any form and expressing myself through any way possible so that’s what drew me in. I’ve always wanted to get into music since middle school, but I never knew where to start until one day where I just ordered my Mac Book and recording mic to teach myself the basics.
Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?
One thing about me is I like to stand out from everybody else. It’s a priority for me to sound different and to evolve as I go. I feel as though my vocals fit on a variety of different sounds, which makes me want to experiment with it even more. That’s actually how I developed my stage name.
It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?
One tip I can give upcoming musicians is to just be yourself and not to try and sound like anybody else. Try and get beats where your voice sounds best on and make sure you match the energy and vibe of that beat perfectly.
Your track “The Switch Up” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?
I highly appreciate that! The story behind it is about someone who I was really close friends with and one day they found someone and switched up on me for no reason whatsoever, which is how the song name came about. I felt as though that beat brought out the emotion I was feeling when that happened so I decided to let it all out.
I feel as though my creative process works entirely different than most artists. The way I work is on the spot so I write as I go. I’m not the type to write whole songs before I record, unless everything comes to me all at once. I usually start singing melodies and try to fit lyrics into the melodies to move on throughout the song.
What are your musical goals for the future?
My goals are to keep meeting new artists I can work with and create new vibes with as well as finding everything that I don’t have at the moment which is management or any business related person by my side. I’d love to have that so I could get a feel of what the industry is like since that’s where I aspire to be.
What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
As of now I plan on dropping singles until I create a little more buzz to drop a project. I’ll definitely have a body of work scheduled to release in 2020 for sure! I have a name for it, but I feel like it’s too soon to announce it so I’ll wait some more before doing that.
