You have started releasing tracks on your Soundcloud a year ago, yet your music sounds like you have been producing for years, care to share more about how you first got into EDM production and music in general?
I have been producing electronic dance music for over five years now. To be honest, I was very scared and nervous to release my tracks to the public. I feared that my music sounded terrible and people would hate my production style. As I grew older I realized that music brings me happiness, and that is something that no one can take away from me. I hope that I can also make people happy with the music that I release!
Your latest track “memories” is a great combination of melodic EDM and future/tech EDM, How would you describe your signature sound?
My signature sound would be a combination of melodic and heavy synths. I love hard hitting styles of EDM music such as trap and dubstep, but I also love the softer grooves and rhythms of house music. I don’t label myself as an artist who produces music for a specific genre. Depending on my mood and inspiration, I will create a track that is more in line with dubstep, house, trap, etc.
In the spirit of the last question what is the story behind “Memories” how did you come up with inspiration for that track?
The story behind my track “Memories” is my expression of the pain and the journey that I took to overcome it during a dark period of my life. When I listen to the track, I remember the past and the associated emotions. The track is also about moving on and finding peace and happiness in my life.
Coming from Florida do you have any favorite clubbing spots?
Some of the best clubbing spots I have found in Florida is in Ybor City in the Tampa area. The Ritz Ybor is a great venue and I have seen some incredible DJ sets there. There is a growing EDM scene in southwest Florida. If you ever find yourself there I would check out Downtown Fort Myers during Fridays for the special EDM Events that are hosted.
2018 Has just started, What are your plans for the new year? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
The biggest plan that I have for the new years is to continue to grow my Froma brand and release new music! I have a couple of projects that I am working on, but the most exciting one is my very own cryptocurrency that I am launching. The cryptocurrency will be called “Froma” and it will allow me to share and release all my music for free without the need to join a record label. I’ve also released a brand new track called “Froma – Remembering You” just for this interview!
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In five years, I would hope to be in a position where music can be my career. I’m not in the music industry to be rich or famous. I just want to make people happy with the music that I make. Another big goal of mine in the next five years is to have Skrillex play one of my tracks in his DJ set. If that ever happens, I would probably pass out from the joy!
