Meet YOHIYAHI

What first drew you into music?

I feel that music is the answer to all my questions. She’s and still has what shines at the end of the tunnel.

You are one of the best up and coming musicians we have encountered on the internet! And your track “Desolate” is probably your best track yet! Could you tell us more about the story behind this track?

It marked the end of my depression, basically, I had planned a rhythmic and pop-construction for these tablecloths, but i gave up and simply kept most of the melody that created waves of appeasement.

Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?

Most of the time, I record samples with my electronic keyboard on Nuendo, then I rework on Cubase or FL Studio. I can say that I’ve often done with Omnisphere on FL, which I particularly like.

Your signature sound is already very professional and amazing to listen to! How did you manage to achieve such a professional sound in such a short time? Can you tell us more about your musical background?

I create sound for almost ten years now. I’ve just started to highlight some productions for the past three years. I’ve always been self-taught and have mostly listened to a lot of different music and genres before doing my first tests. I started with a lot of ambient and ethereal tones before gradually getting interested in rhythm.

All of your tracks are very melodic. Do you play any real-life instruments?

Just my keyboard and I’m interested in the electronic guitar.

What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

I’ve a lot of inspiration right now and I’m concentrating on developing new sounds that will include singing voices.
