Meet Wild Lyles

What first drew you into music?

Just listenin to it, you know. I was always into it as long as I can remember. I know My pops was a DJ when I was younger and shit. He used to spin for like weddings and block party’s as a lil side hustle, but they say when I was younger like age 1 or 2 I used to sit directly next to them speakers while he was DJ’ing and do this nut ass dance hahaha. They called it the “pooty booge” or some shit like that.

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

The people. I want people to like it , And I be liking different shit too, you know… it’s art, so that mean you gotta get artsy sometimes. I don’t listen to the same style of music all the time niether, I came up on all different types of shit. Especially when I came out to Delaware. I picked up on all different types of shit. FOREAL!

It seems like you already found your signature sound  Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

KEEP WORKIN! that’s all it is.

Just don’t STOP! I engineer all my own vocals and music too, so that’s really how I found my sound. I’m nice wit it.

Your track “A6 Music”s is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

Shit yea. Foreal foreal I heard the beat when I was driving, this when I had the Audi, I was doin numbers in that thing. I listen to beats all the time, like producers send em to me or sometimes I just go on a head hunt for em. But I really like This one Dude style a lot, Kevin Katana, his sound just hit real extra hard. That’s who produced this joint and another song I dropped called “Late Knight.” And at first I didn’t know what To name it when I made the song, so It was just sitting in my files for a fat minute. Yo! The crazy part is that song is legit not even done hahaha, I was just chillin on it so somebody could hop on the beat with me. So one day I just really wanted to drop something and was going thru the catalog and was playin “A6” and was like this song go way too fuckin hard, so I dropped it on SoundCloud & thankfully people liked it.

I don’t think I got a particular strict process that I use. Usually I play it for the squad and see what they reaction is when I first Make a track. Most of the time when I hear something im with my go to producers, Zay, VP & Q (QDaProducer), and they be cookin up some fire shit everytime they touch the boards, so I’ll just start freestyling while they making the beat or I’ll write depending what i feel or what direction I wanna go in.

What are your musical goals for the future?

Just to Take it to a new level. I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, I just knew I wanted to be mad talented at something or be great. My mom always told me be great at whatever it is your gonna do. So that’s what I aim to do. BE GREAT.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

SHIT, we bouta go out LA for the first time. U know & turn up. I always wanted to go out there. I Got some shows I’m trynna hit, and some more bangers of course, you know how that go. I do got this new project I’m workin On called “JUGGworld”, but we gon get into that a little later, that’s gonna be my best work yet tho I can guarantee you that. I really can’t wait to show yall what it’s lookin like.
