I grew up listening to artist like Prince, Kriss Cross, Dipset, Lil Wayne and Q Tip. Prince was a great performer who was a perfectionist and had endless amounts of drive and love to make great music. I feel like I have those same qualities which drives my love for music. When I listen to his music I feel the passion and his drive and pain in my soul. like was also fascinated with Prince and his ability to play multiple instruments.
You are one of the best up and coming musicians we have encountered on the internet! And your track “Rasta Fari” is probably your best track yet! Could you tell us more about the story behind this track?
The story behind “Rasta Fari” Entails a few things. I was born At St. Mary’s Hospital Brooklyn New York April 22, 1988 Seven years later our family relocated to upstate New York Sullivan County because of all the gang violence at the time. Growing up there I noticed there wasn’t a lot of kids like me “ African-American “ But that didn’t matter because I had a great childhood. Adjusting wasn’t Easy but I didn’t let that dictate who I would become.
Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?
I record all of my music at a good friends house he’s known as Trap and has pretty nice set up. He works off of ProTools and really good engineer we’ve gained a great relationship Because of the time I put in the studio.
Your signature sound is already very professional and amazing to listen to! How did you manage to achieve such a professional sound in such a short time? Can you tell us more about your musical background?
Hard work, consistency, passion, love, a vision, and developing a relationship between My engineer helps me come out with more music As well as being versatile. Between work, raising my daughters, and Recording I’ve had countless sleepless nights especially the last few months but was worth it because this is what I love to do.
All of your tracks are very melodic. Do you play any real-life instruments?
Since the third grade I’ve always been involved in chorus, recorder, bells, and learning the bass clarinet, throughout school. All of those things helped shape the music I create today. I Taught myself how to play the piano and guitar a bit During my freshman year of High school
What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
These upcoming months I really want to promote my album “Least Expected” that came just out June 24th. It’s streaming on all major music platforms. I’m also working on my EP “Space Junkie Radio” its expected to drop This October. I love Making music so expect to hear a lot of content that has many different styles and genres.
