Music isn’t really something you get into, Its engraved in everybody’s memories but something that got me into making music was just goofing with my friends rap battling and making diss tracks on each other and realizing how much fun songwriting is and being able to make something that actually touches people emotionally without even knowing them
You are one of the best up and coming musicians we have encountered on the internet! And your track “Grow Up” is probably your best track yet! Could you tell us more about the story behind this track?
Haha thank you! Well the opening sequence is about the rich life we all fantasize of having until the switch kicks after that it’s all about how I grew up in uk for 6 years, my dad was in the military on tours and my mom was working a lot of shifts everyday But no matter what the situation I’m going to carry those 6 years with pride
Going over your Soundcloud we can tell you love experimenting with new sounds. Can you tell us more about your studio setup and some of your favorite plugins/instruments?
All credit to the producers who put together the beats like grow up is produced by BMTJ and floorboards is done by Fly Nonsense but the recording studio I use to mix and things is all very simple it’s just a blue yeti nano and audacity very low budget but still able to put out some quality stuff haha
Your signature sound is already very professional and amazing to listen to! How did you manage to achieve such a professional sound in such a short time? Can you tell us more about your musical background?
thanks for the kind words! Well I actually dropped out of school at like 15 so I don’t have any musical background other than just basic pre-GCSE music lessons, a lot of the tricks like harmonizing is just picking up from paying attention to tracks and going oh how do I do something like that? And then scouring the internet for tutorial videos
All of your tracks are very melodic. Do you play any real-life instruments?
Used to play a bit of guitar but forgot a lot of it if im honest! Got a huge amount of respect for those that can sing and play an instrument at the same time
What are your goals for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?
Well long term it’s to try and help english speaking rap get onto the radio in UAE because there’s so few talented rappers here like its few and far between, I recently leased a few beats and have written half of one, I’m very excited when I make a track im like oh I gotta get this out right now! Instead of trying to be patient and make a full album or EP out of it so let’s hope I can work on that and drop an EP in the near-ish future
