Straight From New Orleans, Meet $aint Gerard!

What first drew you into music?

I was first driven to music at the age of 7.  My mom would play old types of old school music, and I would always imagine myself doing concerts and people singing the lyrics

Listening to your music we can tell you love incorporating interesting new sounds and techniques within each track! What inspires you to experiment and evolve?

I always wanna be better and grow with my music. Music is forever changing and so is my day to day. I wanna be that artist that can keep you going and you play 7 days a week.  I change daily and so do my music ,and each son is a new adventure for me.

It seems like you already found your signature sound 😊 Do you have any tips for upcoming musicians that can’t seem to find their own sound?

Stay hungry. I have worked on my sound everyday it feel like. I still haven’t master my sound Completely, but that’s what I love. It keep you focusing and wanting to keep growing. I say just stay true to you, and it will definitely come out in your music.

Your track “Birthstone” is your best track in our opinion! From its artwork to the Incredibly powerful sound we absolutely love it. Could you tell us more about the story behind this track? Also, what is your creative process like?

First and foremost thank you and anyone who gave birthstone a listen. Birthstone was a track that explained my starting point to where I was now. It touch on everything I have did and seen. Birthstone was pure therapy for me explaining my views and changes in life that made me into $aint this day and age. My creative process is simple. Let my mood guide me and release. I just look for beats that inspire and speak to me , and then I release.

What are your musical goals for the future?

To create timeless music and work with great legendary artists who have help me get through my day to day. I wanna make people fall in love with music ,and create  that songs that help them get through  tough situations and give hope.

What do you have planned for the coming months? Any upcoming projects we can get excited about?

I’m always working. Got to keep improving! I’m currently working on a project called Voodoo that should be dropping late November to early December. I would love to have it done mid November, but I really wanna make sure this project is perfect. So I’m working night and day to get everything in order.
