For all the mellow deep house enthusiasts, HBT has a fantastic new find for you. Revolution, remixed by Absence, has the chill downtempo vibe that’s characteristic of deep house. For starters, the song is based off of the original mix by Diplo, which if listeners may recall, is big room trap. The music video features raving, twerking, and, oddly enough, a business deal. Absence has slowed down the majority of the song to a relaxed BPM, removing any of the chaos and frantic energy of the original. While this in and of itself is enough for the remix to perk the ears, Absence has also added a guitar line in the chorus that has become more common in the deep house genre, perhaps due to the popularity of Kygo. Still, the song remains unique with reverberating synths and muted bass that combine with the vocals provided by Canadian singer Kal to produce phrases that are smooth and easy listening. While this song is not about to turn down any wild club night, it is perfect for those seeking to sit back and enjoy some good music.
