Size Records’ sister label X continues to deliver some of the best music in this industry. One of their newest releases is from the newly-discovered Kingstown with a track called Jacana, later remixed by the one and only Pete Tong, and again by Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. Kingstown, led by James Doman, is the man behind the astonishing productions Everything is Going to Be Alright and Let’s Go All Night, but he’s been moving in a new direction with an obvious passion to explore deeper and more mysterious sounds. Jacana is a unique jungle track filled with fresh beat and tribal-inspired rhythmic percussions, altogether giving the song a truly hypnotizing aura. BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix master, Pete Tong, delivered an aggressively deep rework of Jacana combined with nightfall synth melodies and heavy basslines. The 2nd rework is courtesy of what is most likely the world’s most energetic house duo: Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano. The pair took an entirely different approach to the original, with a Dutch-inspired rhythmic twist that is simply gorgeous.
